Voice workshop under the direction of Frédéric Bétous

The Ambròsia Choir brings together avid amateur singers under the direction of Frédéric Bétous who want to explore Renaissance polyphonic music combined with contemporary composers.

Although Frédéric Bétous is often to be seen with La Main Harmonique in places of international renown such as the Festival de Saintes, Festival de La Chaise-Dieu, Muziekcentrum de Bijloke in Ghent, Festival de Musique des Lumières de Sorèze, it is also his desire to share his love and expertise in a more instructive way and enable amateur singers to discover and share his repertoire.

Frédéric Bétous is the cog around which lovers of music and experienced amateurs who are committed to discovering or perfecting their skills of polyphonic songs via a demanding task of interpreting different repertoires particularly those associated with the European Renaissance.

The Ambròsia Choir regular performs during the programme of Musique en Chemin, at the Cathedral of Lectoure, at Escalquens, on the occasion of choral encounters, etc. Ever-eager to share this repertoire with the widest audience possible, the Ambròsia Choir also likes to accompany musical visits to local heritage sites or local nature walks in La Romieu and surrounding area during which participants have the opportunity to hear them sing.
